Local Priorities

The St Austell Neighbourhood Policing Team are committed to working with partner agencies and the community to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB).

ASB is conduct that causes (or is likely to cause) harassment, alarm or distress to persons not of the same household of the offender.

Please if you do witness an ASB incident, report it to us at the time it's taking place, this will provide us with the best opportunity to identify the persons concerned and take appropriate action with our partner agencies.

Issued: 2 Apr 2026

Status Update

The reports of ASB have been on the rise in the St Austell Policing area, we would like to reassure the Community working in partnership with Cornwall Council and other key partners to take robust and positive action with any person who is involved in ASB.
Using the reports from you we are able to target our patrols in order to preventively combat ASB by conducting high-vis patrols in areas where ASB is likely or is reported to take place.
Please contact us at the time the ASB is taking place to provide us with the best chance to attend and deal with the persons causing the ASB related problems.

With our key partners we are working to safeguard members of the community who are at risk of serious harm by exploitation. Exploitation can take many forms, it can relate to finances, relationships, housing or to being asked/forced to do things for a another that puts a person at great risk of harm.

If you suspect someone you know is being exploited please contact us, we can then work to safeguard them.

Issued: 2 Apr 2026

Status Update

We have been working with our partners and have together identified a number of children and vulnerable adults who are possibly being exploited. Measures are being put in place to safeguard these people and to also deal with the persons who are exploiting them.
Please if you have any concerns for any persons contact us so we can help them.

The harm that drugs cause to our communities is unacceptable, please help us to address this issue. If you have any information that may assist us please report it to us via our website or via Crime Stoppers.

Issued: 2 Apr 2026

Status Update

Over the past four weeks the Team have applied to the Courts and obtained four separate warrants to search premises under the Misuse of Drugs Act. All of these warrants have been positive and robust action has been taken with the persons who reside or were connected with these premises. More warrants are planned, please continue to share any information that may be of assistance to us.
